I send out free templates for  use with my piece n cut methods. You will need a template to make my original quilt block designs and the quilts they make. You can find directions on how to make my Boston Blocks / Star Point Blocks/ HSTs/ Kansas Dugout Blocks and more.

Check below to see what size template you will need. Send your postal address and the size template you would like to patchesbyr@yahoo.com

What size template to use to make a quilt block

I design my quilt blocks using a grid. This means the quilt block is constructed by

sewing shortcut blocks into rows and the rows into the finished quilt block.

    You will see quilt blocks made in a 3 x 3 grid or a 4 x 4 grid or a 6 x 6 grid.

This means you will have 3 blocks per row and 3 rows for a total of 9 shortcut blocks

or 4 rows of 4 blocks per row or 6 rows of 6 blocks per row.
